METHOD TO LOAD WEBSITE FASTER

If any of your favorite websites are loading in a very slow mode, then this techniques can practically make it load faster.

You can speed up your browser by adding some information to a special text file in the Windows folder. In this text file you simply add your favorite websites' IP address and hostname.

Below there is that special text file to speed it up. Here you simply add the information as told above.

Your browser always searches first in this special text file to the IP address and will skips the slower DNS-server if it will find the IP address in this file.

In Windows Vista and in Windows XP Home this text file can be found at:

"C -> Windows -> System32 -> drivers -> etc -> Hosts".

In Windows XP Professional this file can be found at:C -> Windows -> System32 -> drivers -> Hosts.

If you open this file in Notepad you can add information to it. Simple, add the IP address of the website in the first column and the hostname in de second column, separated by at least one space.

How to find the IP address of the website you want to add?

To find the IP address of the website you want to add to this text file you do the following:

Click Start

Click Run

Type cmd and press the Enter button

Then in the black screen which appears type: ping 'hostname' and press 'Enter'.

You see something like in the following screen.

Here I typed the following: ping www.google.com and as you can see is the IP address of the hostname www.google.com (at this moment) 64.233.183.147.

This IP address is the address you need to add in the text file if you want to add www.google.com.
